The name Arawak comes from the name given to the indigenous peoples of the Greater Antilles of the Caribbean. We are now a band made up of a team of dedicated and hard-working people and attendees.
Started in 1999 with Trinidadian roots foundation with a strong aim to celebrate unity through music and art. With over 20 years’ experience the fully functioning mas band have expanded globally to the Trinidad, Portugal and The Netherlands, with our home being the United Kingdom for the Nottin Hill Carnival. Incorporating the best costume designs and entertainers with quality sound system bringing the full experience to life.
The best way to enjoy the carnival experience is by getting involved. The elaborate costumes and the energetic t-shirt army is the way forward and with our trucks making quite the impression.
To top this all off we have the most inclusive band members. So whether you are new to Carnival or a regular, you will feel right at home enjoying yourself with us. We look forward to welcoming you to Arawak
